The Emergency Home Repair program eliminates health or safety hazards for homeowners who meet the income guidelines and live in one of our targeted areas. The mission is to eliminate specific health, safety and sanitary hazards, eliminating the possibility of accidents, illnesses and possible homelessness. The program has grown through the years from offering services in five target areas to more than 60 targeted areas in the Oklahoma City area.
Trained carpentry staff also assist in replacing deteriorating floors, repairing porches, and installing wheelchair ramps. The program also can provide self-help materials to residents capable of performing their own emergency repairs.
